Went for this "Hancock" with STELLA, ANGELINA, MR. HANZ, MR. CY and MR. HEAN at Sunway Pyramid after having our Family Fiesta Dinner at The Chicken Rice Shop. wahahaa~ :p
Well, had heard about this movie quite some time ago. My friend, Mr. Maxx told me that this will be a great film. I think so as well, as it features kinda great star - Will Smith. "Hancock", seriously, before and during i went into the cinema, i have no idea of what the film is about, not even a little. Is to keep myself a little surprise i guess. hahaa. The only think that comes to my mind, besides Will Smith, it was just: "Hancock? John Hancock! hahaa, the clothing brand." Who knows? All along the film, Will Smith really turns out to be "John Hancock" in the film, get to know this when the other prisoners named him "John" during the sharing session.
"Hancock", again, it's a superhero film, where there is a man show up to have super powers that could help to save the world in all kinds of disasters. Something that made this film slightly different is that, it started of with a so-called SuperHero who seems to be unwanted, annoying, hated, someone that is so not welcomed by the citizens. Then it appears to have a public relations professional man that seems to understand and to repair while turning the Unwanted Hancock to the Most Welcomed Hero. For me, "superhero" is just an additional elements to the storyline. The meanings conveyed behind do meant much more where we audience shall take more note about. The storyline is kinda meaningful. It somehow reflects the society nowadays or even previous days. People always tends to judge someone from the outlook, or from something they can see probably.
Perhaps this is how normal human beings react. When you see something bad or negative, you perceive the person involved as someone awful as well. How many times we people would willing to understand more, trying to walk into a particular person, go right near to his heart, just to know the real and hidden personality or feelings? This film shows. It shows how we shall look at a person, how we shall save and turn a person or even the world to be a better one. Perhaps every figure does have their own ways of presenting or conveys their thinkings to the public. It's just either you've used the right positive way or the negative one. Sometimes, people does meant to be weak. No matter how strong you are in both physically or mentally, living in this world, we cant stop ourselves from taking mind of how the others look at us, how much cares and concerns we actually hope to receive from the crowd.
The public's perceptions towards ourselves do mean alot, in the sense of supporting and moulding us to be someone who owns better self-esteem or even just to live happier. Overall, what we wish to get is just people's acceptance, to be someone who is well-welcomed by the public, who is respected and accepted by the crowd. The film shows too, on how much communication skill matters in terms of human relationships. The way you talk, the words you speak, even a simple sentence may change the others' perceptions towards yourself, may make a particular thing turn out to be better and more wonderful.

The way you talk, the words you speak, even a simple sentence may change the others' perceptions towards yourself, may make a particular thing turn out to be better and more wonderful.Love. Hahaa, something been arousing human's thoughts for centuries ago and coming centuries, something where no one could ever really figure out. The film somehow conveys great thinkings towards Love and Relationship as well. It says: "When 2 people sticked together, they become one, connected and the power lost." It says: "This is it.. Love. Connect. Old. Die." Maybe human beings are always influenced and mould by Love itself. Perhaps this is like what people always says? Someone in love seems to be blind. hahaa! I guess it's because Love can turn someone to be both stronger and weaker. No matter how tough or strong a person is, Love, is the only thing that human cant stand or resist, something that could melt the cruel or iron heart.
It shows too in the film, when Hancock forced to stay as far as he could from Mary, fighting badly with his love instinct, just to save Mary, just to give her a better life. Perhaps this is what we always see. The other form of Love. where we have to let go someone we love, just to protect or to give him/her a better life. Speaking something seems conservative, Loving someone doesn't mean you have to stick and be with him/her. It can be in another form, it can even be more wonderful. It just depends on how much you get, how much you would realize, and how much you care about it. Love? Sticking together. Love? It is to set it free too, sometimes. hahahaa!

Come back Chryss! hahahaa:p Anyway, the humor added do enhance the film. The cute little boy, Aaron, really seems so lovable. The way he shouted: "Hancock!! We've brought you something!" The way he responsed: "I do love Hancock!!" when it says there's no one who welcome and like Hancock. Not a bad film overall. I shall say the meanings conveyed behind, somehow, save it. Fortunately.
HANCOCK, GO..O....OO..D JOB!! wahahaa:p Just playing around with the dialogues though.. Is it a good film? perhaps not for me.. sorry :(

Watched this with MR. AY at One Utama after hanging at ZanMai Sushi (Chryss's Appetite) kinda month ago. Similarly, i have not watched any trailer or relating content about this film though. "Indiana Jones"? well, the first thing that came into my mind was that: "hmm...it sounds like an old story or those from novels. redirecting film perhaps??"
Hahaa, yeayea, i know i'm lame. Sorry! Basically, i never plan to watch this film at all, not until He suggested it. So, thanks for bringing me to such a great film ya! ^o^
Hahaa, yeayea, i know i'm lame. Sorry! Basically, i never plan to watch this film at all, not until He suggested it. So, thanks for bringing me to such a great film ya! ^o^ Looking at the poster, I have such a direct perception that expecting the film to be kinda adventurous one, where a group of archaeologists having their journey of hunting for treasures or something precious. It seems to be old-fashioned and conservative visuals. However, somehow, I was wrong. I WAS WRONG!! I ended up to be surprised, amazed, and enjoyed! But too bad that i couldnt immediately blog about this then. i cant really remember much now, so too sad i cant share lots.. :(

I shall say, the film is really a huge production, definately worth it to pay and watch in the cinema. hahaha! Anyway, the storyline is unpredictable. It is not as simple as you find it from the poster itself! I personally think that it has a very special content whereby it is absolutely not simple at all, kinda complicated, where lots of various elements and stories been joined together, yet congrats! they were linked so well, indeed. it is yea, an adventurous film featuring treasure hunting and archaeology, probably on the crystal skull, but it is great to have it as something archaelogy but yet modernized and interesting enough! there are a lot of information and deep knowledges been added, jargons of archaeology and history, blending well with family relations and humors.
It is so cool and awesome, during the scenes of Jones using bullet powders to test on the magnetic stuff, scenes when the casts solving the tough clues all along their journey, the some kinda of orang asli scene, the final scenes where Aliens are found, and etc. Fuyooh..
It is so cool and awesome, during the scenes of Jones using bullet powders to test on the magnetic stuff, scenes when the casts solving the tough clues all along their journey, the some kinda of orang asli scene, the final scenes where Aliens are found, and etc. Fuyooh..The most surprising thing for me is when the film relates the storyline to Aliens. this is something i find it interesting and cool as well. Normally, we've been seeing lots of films talking about Aliens, but they were all more to futuristic, commonly shows that
Aliens would appear or occupy the present human world. However, in "Indiano Jones", the aliens somehow seems to exist before human does, they were already there since centuries ago. Aliens were from the past!

Aliens were from the past!Overall, for me, both visuals and storyline are so well-directed and created, I really enjoyed the film. it was like i cant even take a glance off the screen while my brain cant stop working and digesting the signals sent by both my eyes and ears. i feel so much satisfied with the surprisingly rich contents =) Here, i shall send my compliment to Steven Spielberg, as recently we could see that he has been trying on various genres of films lately. Well done!

I've watched this with Stella and our lady housemate at Cineleisure Damansara. Foremostly, have to thanks Mr. Kenny, which is our housemate as well, for the free media pass movie tickets given!
Since i've watched this quite some time ago, so i'll just briefly state a few words here will do.-
I personally find this movie not interesting in fact.. it is simple..the storyline..the production.. it's kinda a more simple and easy film. Growing along with the plots, the storyline somehow seems rushing whereby it seems not really well-developed and composed. sorry... :(
-
My sis, stella, did find it familiar, saying there was a similar storyline from one of the previous films instead. But anyway, there are some scenes where humor elements were added in, and they do works! For the ending part...i personally find it kinda disappointing and sucks.. The film somehow tries to create romance and moving scenes and mood, but somehow it failed, i shall say. it turns up abit conservative and more to old-fashioned storyline perhaps... sorry... :(
-

But you know wat? Ashton Kutcher really looks so great and attractive in the film! hahaa:p Whereby Cameron amazed the audience with her great outlook. tall figure with long nice legs. phewitt~ hahaa! I'm sure many of you agree with me on this last paragraph. :p

The typical Super Hero Film! Watched this with Mr.YS at Cineleisure Damansara. Well, seriously I know nothing about this film, not the film genre, not the visual kinds, not the basic understandings, I've got no idea at all about it , not until the film get started! hahaa! when the scenes started off, i was like: "hmm... is this IRON MAN? is it started already??" lowsy huh?! hahaa. but anyway, it's quite a nice film though.

I personally think that the storyline is kind of cool. i mean, beginning with a great genius inventor who is the billionnaire industrialist of weapons, being kidnapped and forced to build a devastating weapon. With the given garbage materials, the intelligent man ended up by building a high-tech suit of armor and escapes captivity. The experience then inspire and mould him into a better person when he realized how much damages and huge impacts his weapon creations had actually brought to the innocent people. He then started to have great thinkings and found himself another greater way of utilizing his genius intelligence. When he uncovers a nefarious plot with global implications, he dons his powerful armor and vows to protect the world as Iron Man.
Although the storyline is kind of typical and simple as it is derived from existing comics or cartoons, but overall, for me it is quite nicely done. Throughout the film, despite the predictable storyline, it actually added on a lot of knowledge in terms of weapon creations, cool and advance technologies, scientifics, some elements that would attract and fulfill specific audience's desires. That's why i rated it 2 stars! I'm sure this typical super hero story would not bore or annoy anyone, it is not childish at all, where i bet a lot of guys would appreciate and enjoy this film so much as it brings them back to their childhood hero! It is pretty cool, i mean, when u could see the hero building and designing weapons or the high-tech Iron Man suit, when he's talking to cool robots in his workplace, when you could see few cool vehicles there, the beautiful interiors with high security systems, blablabla...what am i talking about??! i just wanna tell you how cool and amazing the advanced technologies being used! it was absolutely awesome! Throughout the film, i bet there are a lots of stunned responses like "Whoww!" "Whoo..." "Gosh...", even "Wasseii..." "Walau...", etc. hahaa, all these cool elements had definately enhanced the so-called predictable and simple storylines Of course, humor elements are added as well. Furthermore, this film has inserted some relating messages to the people as well, public service announcement perhaps? some kind of "world peace" signals. hahaa!
-
anyway, i guess this film would satisfy a huge range of audience, from kids to adults. IRON MAN, the quite worth watching blockbuster movie!

Well, nearly forgot about this wonderful film, as i've watched it quite some times ago with Angelina at One Utama. This is the most expected film this few months of mysis, Stella, as she had been waiting for it since she heard about it few months ago in UK. It was their Valentine's special.

Aihh...blog too late, kind of forgot those particulars comments. Let me just share a few words. This is a very simple romance film that features a pretty lady, which is Katherine Heigl, an idealistic, romantic and completely
selfless, and most importantly, "always-a-bridesmaid" lady. Everything comes to a turning point when her sister tends to capture her boss's heart, whom Jane is secretly in love actually, she started to reexamine her lifestyle and behaviors. Then, she meets a nice guy, who brings her lots of fuss, but ended up bulding their true romantic love together though.
Through this film, it delivers not only the bridesmaid stories, but also messages like sisterhood, family matters, behaviors, and of course loves. Although it is simple, quite a wonderful film to watch anyway! Sweetness and romance blend so well with humours and touches to bring you this good film. One thing to mention is, Katherine Heigl looks really gorgeous inside. What's greater is, she speaks so fluently and greatly in every non-stop dialogues, so fast yet nice-to-hear. fuuh~ awesome!! this had definately captured my attention!-

Watch this on 30 Jan 2008 with Stella, Tiffanny & Hun. I was so excited looking forward to it, as i've been waiting for it to get on screen since i checked it out on TGV's Coming Soon Movies site.
I've put lots of expectation, 1st- it is a musical, while i'm totally a musical-lover! 2nd, Johnny Depp, specially thanks to Mr.HK of introducing such a great actor for me, i've always love his performance after watching Pirates of The Carribean and some other films else. Johnny Depp, you rocks man! he can act perfectly in every various casts in every films he came to. Besides, a compliment for Jamie Campbell Bower as well. Although he's more to extreme beauty (whr some may gives positif comments while some giving negatives one), but he looks entirely charming inside!

When the film starts, at the moment of its montage, or introduction, where all the main credits being introduced, the graphic is kind'f amazing. the first tht came into mymind was, "woww, i was like sitting on the seat at Genting Highlands's 3D theatre!" besides, the overall feeling of the opening piece was like those in games: Resident Evil? hahaa, anyway, it's a fresh things to have though.
-
Then, it started. basically the scenes are more to grey & black, which uses more to darker colours, perhaps to bring out the devil n
cool feel. the costumes, the casts, the hairstyles, were all look filthy and kindf evil. hahaa, but anyway, good job! for the costume & make up designers! it enhanced the film more.

When Todd (Johnny Depp) and Anthony (Jamie Campbell Bower) started to sing, i was like "yuhoo~ it is a musical! love it!" then overall it's followed by musical type of flow: speak a little, sing a paragraph, speak, then sing again. i was wondering, how come this film has been rated as "thriller" movie in TGV site. Until it reaches the point, where the "thriller" elements slowly revealed. For me, perhaps the storyline doesnt seems to be so special n interesting, but anyhow, it overall brought it up nicely. The film uses more to British accent English, sounds comfortable anyway. Besides, i've learnt a few words and phrases fromt he film as well, such as: "before the week is out", "....isn't material", etc.

Let me share a little brief story here: Sweeney Todd, is actually a story of revenge and how it consumes a vengeful person. Todd was previously a great barber named "Benjamin Barker", until the evil Judge Turpin (Alan Rickman) takes a fancy to his beautiful wife (Laura Michelle Kelly) and daughter (Jayne Wisener), and throws him in prison for a crime that he did not commit.
After 15years of false imprisonment, he returned to London and started his revenge by renaming himself as "Sweeney Todd". And this is the moment where the second part of the film title revealed: "The Demon Barber of Fleet Street". He vows to kill the Judge Turpin and his henchman, Beadle Bamford (Timothy Spall). On his journey, he meets his partner-in-crime, Mrs.Lovett (Helena Bonham Carter), who owns a pie shop. In order to make his plan of murdering the Judge n the Henchman a successful n perfect one, he applies his razor on unlucky customers in his shop, kills them through their throats cruelly, and shuttles the bodies down to Mrs.Lovett in turning the flesh into delicious n hot selling meat pies.

Overall, the musical part is being brought so well. although it has violent scenes where Todd keep killing by cutting throats, however it seems alright for me, as the killing tactic is almost the same, thus lower down the horror
grade. (i guess, if the film really mean to be a horror thriller film, i supposed they woun use the similar way of killing! of course they will design various shocking killing ways to frighten the audience though!) Another thing shud i mention here is that, throughout the film, there's humor elements which can realy make u laugh. for example, along the storyline, there's someone who actually cool down the atmosphere and brings laughters, the Italian rival barber-Pirelli (Sacha Baron Cohen).

How Todd get to kill the Judge Turpin & the Henceman? will he finally reunion with his wife-Lucy and his daughter-Johanna? Watch it ur own, then u'll know how was it going.
-
* I didnt actually find it horrible perhaps it's far from reality for me, or maybe i concentrate too much on the musical itself. But i'm sure for those barbers outhere, or whoever have the chance to get close with the "razor" will have phorbia side effects perhaps! Besides, for those who doesnt like musicals perhaps u may find this film boring like hell, jzlike myfrens do. Anyway, wishing u happy watching =)
-
Just like how i walked out from the cinema, this rhythm keeps playing on my mind n throat: "Johanna...Johanna....I'll steal you...Johanna..." hahaa. Cheers~

Watched this with Stella, Auyong, Tiffanny, Cindy & Mun after visiting to the Batu Caves. what made it special is that, we all get to sit in couple seats! hahaa. Anyway, in brief, the animation was excellent! it was perfectly done, every little movements, little details, were well done! it seems real, much more than just animation! However, the storyline is boring for me. perhaps it's a re-film from existing story, thus maybe not much interesting story can be added. FOr the storyline's sake, it was like...not there enough. for example, the touching scenes were all fast glance, whrby when audience started to get into touching feel, it then quickly switch into another happier scene. but anyway, the scenes where the chipmunks sing acapella: "only...you...." and other songs, were incredible! Three stars rating was for the animation though!
